PT Transjakarta Started Testing Metrotrans and Royaltrans Buses

The City-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is going to test out four fleets of Metrotrans (Senayan Roundabout-Harmoni) and two fleets of Royaltrans (Poris Plawad-Senayan Roundabout) today.

PT Transjakarta President Director, Budi Kaliwono expressed, for Metrotrans bus with 41 seats capacity and wheelchair ram in the area of the door to simplify the exit-enter door of the disabled people. Additionally, the bus is also equipped by two 24-inch televisions and stop button inside the bus.
For Royaltrans bus, he added, the bus with 30 seats capacity has USB port facility to charge smartphone and bottle rack in each seat.

He explained trial will run one week and operate at 5 AM-10 PM.

He assessed, from 300 units of Metrotrans that have been ordered, 76 of them have been sent. While for Royaltrans bus, 100 units are still in booking process and 50 other units have been sent.
"Hopefully all fleets can be operated soon," he closed.
